Multiplexing Imaging* (MXI)
Multiplexing is the ability to stain the same sample many times. Today we are limited to 7 stains on the same slide but researchers want to go further and to be able to use more than 50 dyes to map their samples. The multiplexed imaging solution is an integrated system for imaging 50+ biomarkers from one tissue sample at a single-cell level. The solution consists of a fully customizable assay design with tissue-preserving staining protocol and a precision-engineered imager with intuitive, scalable acquisition and analysis software. The most important aspect of this technique is the use of few samples. Often samples come from surgical parts or scarce sources and they need to be handled with care and sliced with parsimony. Multiplexing helps getting the most information out of the rare samples
