In the next four years, Euro-BioImaging and its community will embark on a new development phase for a critical mission: shaping the future of imaging in Europe.
The Euro-BioImaging Strategic Plan for 2024-2028 revolves around 6 Strategic Goals: Provide cutting-edge imaging services, contribute to scientific excellence and promote Open Science; Engage with national and international stakeholder networks and increase synergy with other research infrastructures; Increase awareness and impact in the scientific community at the global level; Strengthen the organisation and the community; Promote scientific innovation and transfer of technical knowledge, and support strong industry partnerships; Ensure that Euro-BioImaging remains at the forefront of scientific research and technological development.
The Strategic Plan also foresees an engagement with funders and policymakers to better involve Euro-BioImaging in addressing existing and future societal challenges.
The Strategic Plan was designed with a greater impact in mind. The six strategic goals are not one-sided but bidirectional: their achievement will benefit Euro-BioImaging and the imaging community. The Strategic Plan for 2024-2028 envisions a future where imaging plays a pivotal role in sustaining, enabling, and advancing science. This will be achieved by enhancing the accessibility and capacity of the imaging infrastructure, expanding the services available to researchers, and fostering stronger collaborations with industry and academia.
Through the pursuit of these strategic objectives, Euro-BioImaging is steadfast in its commitment to continuing to promote research excellence and foster innovation in Europe for the foreseeable future.
The Strategic Plan's vision aims to eventually enable groundbreaking research and drive technological developments that will significantly influence the future of imaging. By advancing imaging technology and its accessibility to researchers, innovators and SMEs, Euro-BioInaging aims to strengthen the European Research Area and make Europe more resilient, better prepared and competitive.
With its Strategic Plan for 2024-2028, Euro-BioImaging is prepared for the challenges of a dynamic world. We are confident that our strengths and assets will continue contributing significantly to solving pressing societal issues in Europe and beyond.
