Euro-BioImaging is organizing an online User Forum on June 17, 2021 from 14:00-17:00 CEST. The topic is "Understanding and Fighting Cancer". This event will highlight the importance of cutting-edge imaging technologies in support of cancer research and showcase the specific expertise available at our 25 Nodes across Europe through case studies presented in tandem with the research community.
Program:
During the first hour, keynote speakers from the biological and biomedical imaging communities will speak about imaging in cancer research. The second part of the event will be dedicated to cutting-edge cancer research carried out at Euro-BioImaging Nodes.
Keynote speakers:
- • Kevin Brindle, University of Cambridge, on "Imaging tumor metabolism – from mouse to man"
- • Frank Winkler, DKFZ Heidelberg, on "Malignant networks in brain tumors discovered by intravital microscopy: from seeing & believing to new therapies"
Who should attend:
Researchers from both academia and industry, Master’s and PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, anyone involved in cancer research and interested in the potential of biological and biomedical imaging technologies to boost this research.
